Scattering Ceremony Record
Many of us wish to be scattered on the wind, over water, or buried in a favourite spot. But what about future generations, won't they want to know where a loved one was scattered, why that location was chosen and maybe even visit it?
We always recommend that you keep a record, when you do something as symbolic as scattering a loved ones ashes you think you will always remember the exact details, but in our experience the memories often fade and things get forgotten or distorted.
We have developed a range of Scattering Ceremony Records which can be used on their own or will complement our 'Promises' notelets. Fill them in after your scattering ceremony and put them in a safe place for an eternal record for future generations.

Promises: I just wanted you to know…
Many people don't always get to say a final farewell to their loved one, lots of people tell us that they still have a wish, a promise, a word, a thought, a memory or something that they just wanted them to know...
That's why we have developed our 'Promises' notelets which are specifically designed for an ashes ceremony.
The Wildflower 'Promises' are designed for a land scattering or burial. This beautiful notepaper* contains wildflower seeds that, when buried with some water, will break down so the seeds can germinate and flower. You write down your thoughts and then simply place the notes in the soil, a lasting memorial.
The Water 'Promises' are designed for a river/lake/sea/beach scattering or burial. The notepaper* acts like ordinary paper but will completely dissolve in cold water, hot water, or steam. You simply write down whatever you wish on the paper and then cast it into the water with the ashes.
The notelets come in a choice of beautiful keepsake boxes:
- Dark Green with Gold lettering with the Wildflower paper
- Light Green with Silver lettering with the Wildflower paper
- Dark Blue with Silver lettering for the Water paper
- Light Blue with Silver lettering for the Water paper
There are 12 notelets in each pack approx 85mm x 110mm (3 1/4in x 4 1/2in).
These notelets have been designed to go with our Scattering Ceremony Record.

Celebrating the life of a loved one: what to do with their ashes
Over the years we've been asked so many questions about cremation ashes; 'do I need permission to scatter the ashes in a river', 'how do I get my mother's ashes back to her native country' or ' how do I bury ashes on a beach'? We've been able to help most people or at least point them in the right direction, so we've now put the answers to these questions, as well as loads of advice on ways to make your scattering ceremony really special for you and your loved ones, in a small eBook called 'Celebrating the Life of a Loved One: what to do with their ashes'.
“I think this is a very decent and instructive little book - and much needed. Ashes still stump people big time” Charles Cowling, Editor of the Good Funeral Guide.
We hope you like it and have included a free copy in our Scattering Ceremony Sets.
Current this is not for sale on the site the only place you can get it is Amazon as a download, follow the link Celebrating the Life of a Loved One: what to do with their ashes
